New Online Employment Program: Cybersecurity Connections (Begins July 15)

Cybersecurity Connections is a flexible, online program that helps internationally trained Information Technology (IT) professionals find work in their sector in Canada.

In this program, you will receive:

• An employment-readiness workshop
• Orientation to the cybersecurity industry in Canada
• Connections to professional mentors in the field of IT
• The chance to attend an online or on-site networking event
• Access to online cybersecurity modules, curated by a recognized provider
• Post-employment coaching and ongoing support

The program will be delivered:

• Online
• Full-time for 6-8 weeks, starting July 15

To be eligible for this program, you must be unemployed or underemployed and have the following:

• Proof of post-secondary diploma or degree related to IT gained outside of Canada; or, a copy of credential evaluation from any recognized providers such as WES (including the free online preliminary evaluation), ICAS, or U of T
• A copy of your most recent resume, reflecting a minimum of 2 years’ work experience from outside of Canada in IT or cybersecurity
• A Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 6+, or an equivalent IELTS score
• An immigration status of either Permanent Resident (PR), Convention Refugee, Refugee Claimant, or naturalized Canadian Citizen
