Online Recruitment and Information Session: Feed Nova Scotia

Join us for this online information session presented by Feed Nova Scotia, taking place over the web conferencing platform Microsoft Teams! This session will provide a company overview with a focus on current employment opportunities.

Who is Feed Nova Scotia?

Feed Nova Scotia is a charitable organization whose mission is to increase food security through food
distribution, education, and collaboration. In terms of food distribution, they collect and distribute more
than three million kilograms of food annually to 140 member agencies across the province, including food
banks, meal programs, shelters, drop-in centres and other organizations. This equates to about $1 million
worth of food each month. They also support their member agencies as they build capacity to serve their
communities, they raise awareness of the realities of food insecurity in our province, and they advocate for
social change to address food insecurity at its core.

Knowing change starts from within, they have committed to a continuous learning journey to centre
diversity, equity, and inclusion in our work.

  • 6 Christmas season contracts (supporting the Christmas gift/food support program; usually three focused on frontline/client support, three focused on admin/systems support) – temp, FT (approx. Sept/Oct to Jan)
  • Community Engagement Coordinator (title still TBD – this role will be supporting the Innovation and Learning Lab) (x1) – perm, FT
  • 2 Christmas season contracts (to support warehouse/operations) – temp, FT (approx. Nov through Dec)
  • 1 Christmas season contract (supporting the Development/fundraising team) (x1) – temp, FT (approx. Nov through Dec)
