About the Program
If you're an immigrant woman and entrepreneur, our Immigrant Women Entrepreneurship Program (IWEP) will help you develop and/or enhance your current entrepreneurial skills on the road to becoming an independent business owner. You'll receive training in topics such as market research, legal issues, business structures, marketing, finance, and more. If you'd like to gain hands-on knowledge of starting and running a business, get business training and one-on-one counselling, and grow your business and social relationships, this program is for you!
In this program, you'll learn about:
- Writing business plans
- Market research
- Rules, regulations, and legal issues
- Sales and marketing
- Online presence and social media
- Financial management
- Networking
To join this program, you must:
- Be a registered ISANS business client
- Have a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark of 5 (CLB 5)
- Register for the program ahead of time—space is limited
IWEP is offered three times a year from January to March, April to June, and October to December.
