Thank You, Volunteers! Volunteering is Empathy in Action

This National Volunteer Week (April 24-30), we have been celebrating the contributions of volunteers around Canada. This year’s theme is Volunteering Is Empathy In Action: Volunteers Bring Heart To Canada’s Communities.

We want to take this opportunity to thank all ISANS volunteers who have supported and continue to support ISANS programs. Your invaluable work helps newcomers feel welcome in Nova Scotia. You are an essential part of the network that connects them with their new community.

You have demonstrated the importance of developing empathy, seeing the world from different perspectives, and validating people from diverse backgrounds with different life experiences and knowledge. With your support, new Nova Scotians have the opportunity to follow their dreams in their new home, further develop their skills and passions, and find a community where they can belong.

Together, we are building a vibrant and dynamic society, creating a stronger and connected community.

Jennifer Watts, ISANS CEO offers this thank you message to all our volunteers:
