Visit ISANS’ table at the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market!

Our Bridge to Entrepreneurship Program supports immigrant entrepreneurs by helping them prepare and sell products at ISANS incubator table at the Halifax Seaport Market. The program helps newcomers develop entrepreneurial skills while earning additional income, all with the support of our Farmers’ Market Coordinator.

The Farmers’ Market Coordinator helps participants navigate logistics, such as permits and labeling requirements, market regulations and getting food handler certification. Vendors are supported as they develop, package, price, and market their products. They use the ISANS market table for free and receive support as they learn how to manage cash transactions and answer customer questions. Vendors keep all the money they earn from the sale of their products.

The ISANS incubator table features products grown, produced or crafted in Nova Scotia, including jewelry, scarves and clothing, and food products such as farm fresh produce, baked goods, jams, jellies, pickles, and canned vegetables.

ISANS’ incubator table will be open at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting September 19, 2018!
