Communication Skills for Patient Interactions (CSPI)
May 13 – July 11 – Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00 – 7:30 pm
This course helps international medical graduates and international pharmacy graduates prepare for the NAC OSCEs or the Pharmacist Qualifying Examination Part II – OSCE.
In this course, you will:
- Learn effective professional strategies for communicating with patients in Canada
- Connect with other IMGs and IPGs working on their licensure process in Canada
- Improve your communications strategies to help pass the Observed Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
- Participate in a communication practice session with professionally trained simulated patients at Dalhousie University
Classes:
- 2 virtual classes per week plus 8-10 hours per week of asynchronous classwork
Eligibility in NS: Permanent residents including Convention Refugees, CUAET & MOME23 holders, AIP & RNIP participants, PPs under section 95 of IRPR, Citizenship holders, International post-secondary graduates with valid work permit
