Online Business Development Training: Financial Fundamentals (Level 1) (COURSE FULL)

In partnership with the Workplace Education Division of the Department of Labour and Advanced Education, ISANS is offering a fully funded learning opportunity.
Starting with key accounting terminology, Financial Fundamentals (Level 1) will lead you step-by-step through the basics of the financial aspects of your business. In addition to helping you understand bookkeeping basics, this course will teach you to read your company’s financial statements, analyze them, and make financial decisions based on them. You will also learn how to comply with the requirements of government reporting.
Topics you will learn in this course include:
- Bookkeeping fundamentals
- Financial statements
- Budgets and cash-flow projections
- Tax compliance
- Pricing products
- Basic financial analysis
- Requirements for government reporting
To be eligible for this course, you must:
- Be an employed (part or full-time) or self-employed immigrant
- Be an ISANS client
- Have a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level of 5 or higher
- Be able to attend at least of 80% of the classes
Classes for this course take place online every Tuesday from 1-5 pm from October 3rd to December 5th.
