Online Business Development Training: Market-Ready Project (Jan 24 – Mar 27)

If you are an immigrant entrepreneur with a small-scale business who would like a chance to grow your business and test your product at rural local markets, join this free, 10-week online training!

Register for this project if you would like to:

• Gain hands-on knowledge of starting and running a small business
• Get business training and one-on-one counselling
• Test your product at rural Farmers Markets

Topics of the program include: 

• Business basics
• Rules, regulations, registration & legal issues
• Product discovery and market research
• Sales, marketing and packaging
• Customer service and payment methods
• Bookkeeping, taxes  and access to micro loans
• Online presence and social media
• Market-Ready Assessment
• Foundational health and safety training as it applies
• Showcase, test and sell your products at rural Farmers’ markets

To join this program, you must:

• Be a registered ISANS business client
• Have a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark of 5 (CLB 5)
• Be at least 19 years old and live in a rural area of Nova Scotia
• Have reliable access to high-speed internet, headphone, a laptop, tablet or smart phone
