Online Business Development Training: Market-Ready Project (Jan 24 – Mar 27)

If you are an immigrant entrepreneur with a small-scale business who would like a chance to grow your business and test your product at rural local markets, join this free, 10-week online training!
Register for this project if you would like to:
- Gain hands-on knowledge of starting and running a small business
- Get business training and one-on-one counselling
- Test your product at rural Farmers Markets
Topics of the program include:
- Business basics
- Rules, regulations, registration & legal issues
- Product discovery and market research
- Sales, marketing and packaging
- Customer service and payment methods
- Bookkeeping, taxes and access to micro loans
- Online presence and social media
- Market-Ready Assessment
- Foundational health and safety training as it applies
- Showcase, test and sell your products at rural Farmers’ markets
To join this program, you must:
- Be a registered ISANS business client
- Have a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark of 5 (CLB 5)
- Be at least 19 years old and live in a rural area of Nova Scotia
- Have reliable access to high-speed internet, headphone, a laptop, tablet or smart phone
