Online Recruitment and Information Session: Public Service Commission – Natural Resources and Renewables, and Environment and Climate Change

Join us for this information session presented by the Public Service Commission, taking place on Microsoft Teams. This session will provide an overview of career opportunities within the Natural Resources and Renewables, and Environment and Climate Change departments of the Provincial Government.

Who is Public Service Commission?

The Public Service Commission (PSC) is an internal service provider that supports government departments and agencies within the province of Nova Scotia. . The PSC is responsible for overseeing the human resource management system. They provide support to the Government with recruitment, policy development, programs, standards and procedures to help create an engaged, productive and diverse workforce. They oversee collective bargaining and provide advice on employee relations matters.

The Department of Natural Resources and Renewables (NRR)

Is responsible for the development, management, conservation, and protection of Nova Scotia’s Natural Resources. There are 6 Branches within the Department Including, Clean Energy Forestry and Wildlife, Geoscience and Mines, Land Services, Policy and Corporate Services, Regional Services and Subsurface and Offshore Energy.

The Department of Environment and Climate Change

ECC is responsible for supporting a clean and healthy environment, protecting land, advancing a clean economy, addressing the climate crisis and guiding the province toward a sustainable and clean future where all Nova Scotians can thrive through its programs and laws.
