Statement from ISANS on the Shooting in Rural Nova Scotia

Today, ISANS mourns with the families of the victims who lost their lives in the terrible violent tragedy that took place Saturday evening and Sunday morning across parts of rural Nova Scotia.

Our hearts are broken, and we grieve for these families and all those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy.

In this unimaginable time, we look for strength, comfort and healing in each other. As an ISANS family, we will reflect on our vision of a community where all can belong and grow and how we live our values of diversity, inclusion, respect, collaboration, innovation and accountability. We will take care of each other and our communities. We extend our love and compassion to our province during this tragic time.
