Divora Debesay Tekie is from Eritrea, and she came to Canada with her family.
As a young person in a new country, Divora had trouble at first finding a job, so she started taking advantage of ISANS Employment and Bridging Services. Through them, she found that the Immigrant Youth Employability Project (IYEP) was just what she needed to start making her way.
