About the Program

If you have carpentry experience or a background in the field and would like to become a certified, Red Seal carpenter in Nova Scotia, our Bridge to Work: Carpentry program will help you:

  • Learn about carpentry in Canada
  • Add new methods to your experience
  • Improve your skills
  • Help you learn a new trade

How it works:

  • Talk to an Employment Specialist at ISANS
  • Meet with the program coordinator to determine eligibility
  • Complete 12 weeks of certified carpentry training
  • Complete a 12-week paid employment term in carpentry
  • Register with Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency to start earning your Red Seal
