About the Program
Our Client Support Services help government-assisted refugees (GARs) with their settlement. For your first two years in Halifax, our intensive case-management service model will provide you with a wide range of settlement services and referrals, based on your individual needs, with regular progress monitoring. Through this program, we will help you access government, health, and community services independently.
In this program, you will work closely with our case managers to:
- Conduct an initial needs, strength, and resource assessment
- Develop and support an action plan with short and long-term goals
- Establish a referral plan and get support accessing community services
- Create a holistic team to help you in your settlement, which may include Life Skills, Immigrant Health, Disability, and Family Support Services
- Maintain your progress and settlement plan over time
- Access important settlement orientations
