About the Program

Client centered, comprehensive approach to settlement program service delivery for complex case management and/or crisis intervention services for newcomers facing persistent multiple barriers to integration for up to a period of 18 months, including possibility of re-enrollment.

Case management activities consist of eligibility, ongoing and exit assessments; Direct supports including client navigation and coordination and Adapting to Life in Canada (Life Skills program); referrals and client accompaniment

Crisis intervention services include support for newcomers facing crisis related to child protection, intimate partner violence, criminal and family law and its impact on families and individuals.

  • Providing basic information on the legal system and supporting clients to navigate the legal system
  • Connecting clients to lawyers, victim services, police and other services
  • Supporting clients by attending court, providing emotional support when possible and helping the client to understand processes.
