To be eligible for this program, you must:
- Have experience in a skilled trade
- Have a minimum CLB level 4+

About the Program
The Work-Based Trades Practical Assessment Program helps internationally trained tradespeople begin their pathway to Red Seal Certification in Nova Scotia. Participants receive a comprehensive assessment of their trade skills, complete certified safety training and develop job search, interview and workplace readiness skills.
The program includes a paid 12-week on-the-job practical assessment with a local employer and an evaluation of apprenticeship level and exam readiness. Participants also receive support throughout their technical training and apprenticeship journey.
