Seventeen Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) attended a full-day health assessment workshop as part of ISANS’ IEN Orientation Program that took place at Nova Scotia Community College – Ivany Campus Nursing Lab on Friday, May 4, 2018. The workshop had IENs practice clinical assessments on simulated mannequins and work on case studies which they presented at the end of the day. A faculty member from NSCC’s Nursing program  spoke to the IENs, and welcomed them to campus. The NSCC nursing lab and the simulated mannequins provide a unique experience for IENs attending our programs, bringing them closer to their work and profession.
