ISANS is honoured to be one of four organizations in Nova Scotia selected to take part in this year’s Corporate Service Corps (CSC) mission, marking the first time the mission will take place in Canada. Sixteen IBMers from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Denmark, India, Philippines, and Romania will partner with host organizations to develop projects that are tied to the province’s development goals and will benefit the Halifax and greater Nova Scotian communities.

The other organizations are: Institute for Ocean Research Enterprise, Nova Scotia Community College, and the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

ISANS team is comprised of Alexandra Luminita (Romania), Fatima “Timmy” Tolentino (Philippines), Ganesh Kasturi (India), and Kate Norager (Denmark). They will spend four weeks working with ISANS staff to develop a streamlined approach to our intake services and an optimized process framework for needs assessment.

About Corporate Service Corps

CSC, which began in 2008, sends employee volunteers to locations around the world for four weeks to provide pro-bono consulting expertise to local stakeholders comprised of public sector institutions, including universities, governments, and non-governmental organizations. In partnership with Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) – an Ottawa-based non-profit that has been working with IBM for the past decade to coordinate and support CSC projects globally – IBM has placed more than 4,000 IBM skilled volunteers to 61 countries.
