About the Program

The Bridge to Construction program offers newcomers a pathway into Nova Scotia’s construction industry through 7 weeks of full-time, hands-on general construction training. Delivered in partnership with Nova Scotia Community College and led by experienced Red Seal faculty, the program covers essential skills such as carpentry, framing, scaffolding, concrete work, drywall, painting and flooring.

Participants begin with two weeks of employability and safety training, including certifications in First Aid/CPR, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, Fire Safety, Fall Protection and Mask Fitting. To help them transition into the workforce, all participants receive a toolbox, safety gear, and job placement assistance.
