About the Program
ISANS offers Pre-Arrival Settlement Counselling to support refugees and internationally trained healthcare professionals before they arrive in Nova Scotia. This service provides one-on-one and group-based support to help participants prepare for life and work in their new community.
Counsellors offer personalized guidance and practical information on housing, finances, Canadian workplace culture and local services in the participant’s destination city or region. The program is designed to ease the transition and help newcomers feel more confident and informed before their arrival.
