Breast Cancer Screening Virtual Session (English)

March 24

Regular breast cancer screening is an important part of taking care of your health. Screening using mammograms can find cancers that are too small to feel or see, and smaller cancers can be easier to treat and can mean less treatment.

In this session, Bukun Adegbembo, Director of Operations at the Canadian Breast Cancer Network (CBCN), will provide valuable education on breast cancer and breast cancer screening in Nova Scotia, including how to access screening with and without a primary care doctor.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Network (CBCN) exists to ensure the best quality of life for people in Canada diagnosed with breast cancer. CBCN is Canada’s leading patient-directed breast cancer health charity that voices the views and concerns of breast cancer patients through the promotion of information sharing, education and advocacy activities.

Bukun Adegbembo, Msc. is the Director of Operations with the Canadian Breast Cancer Network (CBCN). As the Director of Operations, Bukun is responsible for the overall operations of CBCN, including financial management, strategic planning, strategic partnerships, and the day-to-day operations of the organization. Bukun works in close collaboration with colleagues, a medical advisory board, and a board of directors (who all have lived experience related to breast cancer) to ensure that CBCN voices the views and concerns of breast cancer patients through the promotion of information sharing, education, and advocacy activities.
