An event every week that begins at 10:15 pm on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until March 7, 2026

January 6 till March 7, Tuesday and Thursday 10:15 – 11:45 pm

This course helps international medical graduates (IMGs) and international pharmacy graduates (IPGs) prepare their communication skills for their OSCE exams and for their Canadian healthcare careers.

In this course, you will:

  • Learn effective professional strategies for communicating with patients in Canada
  • Connect with other IMGs and IPGs working on their licensure process in Canada
  • Improve your communications strategies to help pass the Observed Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
  • Participate in a communication practice session with professionally trained simulated patients at Dalhousie University

To attend this course, you must:

  • Have a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level of 6+
  • Be able to attend online

Classes:

  • Two online classes per week
  • Plus 6-8 hours per week of asynchronous classwork
  • Next dates are:
    • Feb 2 – Apr 3           3:30 – 5:00 pm
    • Mar 2 – May 1         9:00 – 10:30 pm

Eligibility in NS: Permanent residents including Convention Refugees, CUAET & MOME23 holders, AIP & RNIP participants, PPs under section 95 of IRPR, Citizenship holders, International post-secondary graduates with valid work permit
