In this 13 day workshop you will:
- Assess your skills, strengths and accomplishments and then focus on the skills employers are looking for.
- Develop an effective general résumé and examine advertised and unadvertised job markets.
- Compose an effective targeted résumé, cover letter and reference list.
- Learn how to prepare for an interview by learning the best practices for success, what employers are looking for, how to answer common types of interview questions and predicting questions you might be asked.
- Learn and practice methods for contacting potential employers and networking with them. You will also examine techniques for communicating your skills and the effective use of social media.
Method of Instruction: Hybrid (15 days)
The hybrid option is facilitated virtually on MS Teams 3 days/week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Friday’s) and 2 days/week in person, (Monday’s and Thursdays).
