Let’s Create Welcoming Communities! Welcome Ambassador Training
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Thursday, repeating until February 26, 2026
Join us for a 12-hour online training program and help build a more inclusive, diverse, and welcoming communities for All.
This is a free interactive learning opportunity spread over 4 weeks and designed for volunteers, service providers, private refugee sponsorship groups, government employees, business groups and anyone interested in fostering inclusive, diverse and welcoming communities.
To be an Ambassador, you must:
- Attend all four training sessions (3 hours each)
- Complete at least one activity that promotes welcoming and inclusion after training
- Commit to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion
During this training, you will:
- Develop knowledge and awareness about newcomers in Nova Scotia
- Learn skills to create inclusive, diverse, and welcoming communities
- Connect and network with other Welcome Ambassadors
- Participate actively in making Nova Scotia a more inclusive, diverse, and welcoming province

Training dates:
