About the Program
The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a federal program that helps employers in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island hire skilled foreign workers and international graduates for hard-to-fill positions.
Through monthly webinars and one-on-one sessions, ISANS Employer Engagers guide employers through the AIP process, connect them to settlement services and provide tools to support successful recruitment and retention.
Steps to Work in Atlantic Canada for Skilled Workers and International Graduates
- Job Offer – Secure a job offer from a designated employer in Atlantic Canada.
- Prepare Documents – Employers will provide the required forms:
- Completed Job Offer (IMM0157E)
- Designation Confirmation Letter
- Create Account and Upload Documents – Register online, complete the needs assessment, and upload the required forms.
- Document Review – ISANS reviews the If approved, online meetings with an ISANS Intake Counsellor can be booked.
- Receive Settlement Plan – After the meeting, an Intake Counsellor will provide a settlement plan to share with employers. Then, participants can proceed to the endorsement stage.
