About the Program
Through our Business Counselling services, you will receive one-on-one support before, during, and after you open your business. Our business counsellors help you make informed decisions, create action plans, capitalize available resources, and build your professional networks through all stages of your business's growth. After your first meeting, your business counsellor will also give you a copy of Connections - An Immigrant's Guide to Starting a Business in Nova Scotia to help you understand the business culture here.
As you grow your business and expand your resources, you may find that you need additional support. When you reach this stage, our Employer Support services can help you recruit and retain international talent, get-cross cultural training, and share your skills and experience.
In addition to receiving our comprehensive, one-on-one support, you will:
- stay informed of business workshops and events
- access free legal and/or accounting services if appropriate
- connect with other business service providers, associations, and organizations that can benefit you and your business
