Free Training for Automotive Technicians & Career Explorers

ISANS, in partnership with Achēv, and NSCC and funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Sustainable Jobs Training Fund offers free, flexible training programs designed for both Automotive Technicians looking to upskill in Electric Vehicle (EV) repair and Newcomers or Career Explorers interested in starting an automotive career.

EV Training – For Automotive Technicians

For: Automotive Service Technician, Truck and Transport Mechanic, Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician, Automotive Refinishing Technician, Auto Body and Collision Technician)

Upgrade your skills to meet the growing EV industry demand
Gain theoretical knowledge + hands-on EV diagnostics and repair experience
Hybrid learning: Online + in-person at Nova Scotia Community College
Eligibility:
- Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents
- Level 4 Apprenticeship and/or Red Seal Automotive Technician

Automotive Career Exploration – For Beginners

For: Anyone interested in exploring the automotive industry

Learn about Automotive career pathways, industry trends, and job readiness skills
Introduction to real shop experience and automotive trades (including EV technologies)
Hybrid learning: Online + in-person at Nova Scotia Community College
Eligibility:
- Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents
- No prior experience required
- CLB 5+ or its equivalent
