Eligibility

NOTE: You must be a registered ISANS client to be able to access our programs and services

Immigration Status:

  • Canadian Citizen Born outside Canada, International Graduate, Permanent Resident, Pre-Arrival- Approved Permanent Resident, Temporary Foreign Worker

To be eligible for this program, you must:

  • Be an internationally educated healthcare professional
  • Be registered with an ISANS Employment Specialist

About the Program

The Internationally Educated Healthcare Professionals (IEHP) Support Program helps internationally trained healthcare professionals understand and navigate the licensure and employment pathways in Nova Scotia.

Whether you are a medical laboratory technologist, physiotherapist or another healthcare professional, the program offers individualized support, up-to-date information on regulatory requirements and referrals to bridging, training or assessment programs.

The program is designed to help participants create a personalized plan for professional success, whether returning to a regulated healthcare profession, exploring alternative career options or both.
