About the Program
Settlement Counsellors at ISANS provide personalized information and orientation to help newcomers adapt to life in Nova Scotia. They offer guidance on key settlement areas, including:
- Housing, health care, financial matters and government benefits
- Accessing government, community and ISANS services
- Learning self-advocacy skills to navigate systems independently
The program also offers group sessions on topics such as housing, taxes and health care.
