About the Program

The Strategies for Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN) course supports internationally educated nurses (IENs) in preparing for the assessment and developing the communication skills needed for nursing practice in Canada. Set entirely in a nursing context, the course helps learners engage with complex language tasks and build the skills required for testing and real-world healthcare settings.

To participate in this course, candidates must have a minimum CLB 7 required in listening, speaking and reading and a CLB 6 in writing.
