About the Program
The Volunteering in the Community Program supports clients and their families by connecting them with volunteer opportunities in their new community. For clients with beginner to intermediate English skills, this program offers a variety of opportunities, ranging from long-term placements with organizations to short-term, one-time events such as the Bluenose Marathon or the Nova Scotia Jazz Festival . Volunteering allows participants to meet new people, learn valuable skills and contribute to their community.
